The Lead Cosmetics will provide customers with friendly and professional cosmetic service. The Lead is responsible for the overall operation of the cosmetic and giftware departments including sales/profitability and supervision of Cosmeticians. The Lead will ensure operational excellence in retail merchandising, inventory management and customer service. Actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

People Leadership
Create a culture of selling, coaching and development of all employees
Responsible for ensuring the communication of operational requirements/changes to the Cosmetic and Giftware department employees
Coach and develop the team to provide superior customer service and shopping experience
Customer Offering
Create a shopping experience that engages customers
Provide customer service to exceed customers needs
Merchandise cosmetic department
Financial
Perform department administrative duties as required
Manage department budget
Responsible to ensure efficient operation of the department to achieve all financial targets and deliver on budgeted KPI's
Personal/Professional Development
Thoroughly understand all relevant company programs, attend and deliver product training as required
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends in cosmetics
Employee Relations
Be known as a supervisor who actively supports an environment of positive relations
Other Duties
Have the ability to create action plans to improve the department operations and employee performance
Support all company initiatives, programs, and standards
Responsible for ensuring that OH&S, and other regulatory requirements and procedures, are implemented and maintained
Other duties as required
What you have to offer:

Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
Strong Customer Service skills
Knowledge of cosmetic products and trends
High School Diploma
Experience within the cosmetic industry
May be required to lift up to 50lbs
Two-person lift required for weights exceeding 50lbs
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Physical work including; but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching
Exposure to varying temperatures over short periods of time
Exposure to sanitation and cleaning chemicals
Flexible hours and overtime
