Duties
Assist the Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and portion control.
Help prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
Address any issues or concerns that arise during service to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Lead Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety practices, and sanitation standards.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
