?We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen. Help in other areas where needed.

Physical Demands

Standing for extended periods. Lifting and carrying heavy items such as pots, pans, food supplies, etc. Repetitive motion. Bending and Stooping. Working in hot environments near grills, ovens and fryers. Proficiency in using kitchen tools and equipment, including knives and other sharp instruments.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques. A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from RCMP or local police authority.
