The Job - Lead Cleaner / Packer - Lead Contents Technicians



At On Side, Cleaner Packers, also known as Contents Technicians show up every day with a can-do attitude and desire to help. This team does vital work helping clients save precious possessions and memories with empathy, compassion, and hard work. When disaster strikes, Contents Technician teams are deployed to restore order out of chaos and clean up the aftermath. Working on site and in the On Side warehouse means no day or disaster is ever the same.

The Lead on this team reports to the Content Manager and helps with the day-to-day on-site direction of the team. Leading communications with Project Managers, Adjusters and trades communication skills are a necessary requirement of the job.

Lead Contents Technicians are responsible for:



Leading and providing direction to the team Communicating with cross-functional teams and clients Working with customers to restore personal and commercial items to pre-disaster state Packing and cataloging contents from disaster affected areas and creating inventory lists Cleaning contents and structures Cleaning fabrics and textiles Preparing invoices and creating Purchase Orders for the warehouse

What you bring:



You love people and have great communication skills An optimistic outlook and a real desire to help Exceptional organizational skills Physically fit (ability to lift, carry and pack boxes) and willingness to follow all company safety requirements Valid driver's licence & clean drivers abstract Clean criminal record
Past industry experience that can translate into success in this job: hotel, hotel housekeeper, tourism, hospitality, dry cleaning, laundry services, restaurant, restaurant manager, supervisor, server, customer service, waitress, waiter, bartender, bartending, banquet, concierge, travel, tour guide, sales, industrial or commercial cleaner, mover, packer.

Of Note



Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Can you describe a time when you had to manage multiple tasks or projects in a warehouse or similar environment? How did you prioritize and stay organized? Tell me about a situation where you were given minimal supervision. How did you ensure the work was completed accurately and on time? Tell us about your leadership skills and why you would be successful in this lead position. This position can be physically demanding and requires a person to bend, crouch, reach, kneel, etc. Heavy lifting is also a job requirement. Are you comfortable with this? This role requires the use of multiple devices and operating platforms while being remote/on site. Experience:

Leading and providing direction to the: 2 years (preferred) Content Restoration: 3 years (preferred)
