YOUR IMPACTThis role will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure within on-prem OpenText datacenters and cloud environments, particularly hyperscaler platforms. You will work closely with DevOps teams, cloud architects, and infrastructure teams to create scalable, automated, and efficient networking solutions. Your expertise in Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native network management will be key to enabling rapid deployment and continuous integration of networking components.The network devices consist of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, tools and monitoring, and network cloud technologies. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and enhancing a highly resilient business network within on-prem data centers and cloud environments, and understands the challenges of supporting a 24x7 global operation. The engineer will follow the process and standards, and the responsibility consists of working as an individual or within a team to implement and coordinate highly complex network deployments.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERSo Provide expert-level network design, understand all aspects and best practices for business network, datacenter infrastructure, and cloud network technologies.o Work to provide the best solutions for connectivity between data centers and clients.o Provide 24/7 support for a highly available and resilient Network infrastructure through a regular on-call rotationo Establish and enforce networking best practices, standards, and guidelines for the team and broader organization.o Provide expert-level network design, understand all aspects and best practices for business network datacenter infrastructure and cloud network technologies.o Work to provide the best solutions for connectivity between data centers and clients.o Provide 24/7 support for a highly available and resilient Network infrastructure through a regular on-call rotationo Provide day-to-day support of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers utilized by Network Operations.o Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure on hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).o Build highly available, scalable, and secure networking solutions for on-prem datacenter networks and cloud environments, utilizing industry best practices.o Plan and recommend designs that could improve the existing network environment.o Monitor network performance across on-prem network and cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime, while providing analysis of capacity and health

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDo An education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, is required.o Minimum 10 years' experience working with various network deviceso Minimum 10 years' experience in general Network Engineering o Minimum 5+ years' experience supporting software-defined network technologies (VMWare NSX, Juniper, Cisco, etc)o Minimum 4 years of experience in network engineering with recent focus on cloud networking and hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).o Proficient in a variety of network technology platforms - Routers, Switches, Firewalls, including vendors such as Cisco, Arista, F5, Juniper, Checkpointo Proficiency in building, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for network automation.o Experience with cloud-native networking services such as AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, Google Cloud VPC, and cloud-based DNS.o Proficiency in networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, VPNs, Load Balancers, DNS, and firewalls in cloud environments.o Network Skills: TCP/IP, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IPSec VPN), Layer2/3 switching and VLAN configuration, Firewall security policies, spine and leaf architecture.o Experience designing and managing networking solutions within large-scale cloud environments.o Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation (IAC).o Proficiency in building, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for network automation.
