About the Role

We are hiring a

Lead Carpenter

who brings technical mastery, leadership on-site, and a deep sense of pride in the craft. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced tradesperson who executes high-quality carpentry, guides apprentices, anticipates challenges, and ensures every finish meets Oaken's exacting standards. What You'll Do

Lead and perform carpentry tasks, including framing, installation, trim, and finishing with precision and care Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and measurements accurately Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and responsibly Ensure all work meets Oaken's standards for quality, safety, and client satisfaction Proactively identify on-site challenges and recommend practical solutions Mentor and develop apprentices and junior carpenters, modeling best practices and accountability Coordinate with project managers, trades, and clients to keep projects on schedule and on budget Represent Oaken Builders professionally on-site and uphold our reputation for reliability and craftsmanship

What You Bring


------------------

3-5 years

of progressive residential carpentry experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred) Deep practical knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and tooling A demonstrated commitment to precision, problem-solving, and quality workmanship The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and lead by example Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to team work A willingness to teach and develop others - helping apprentices grow their skills and confidence Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for jobsite travel A readiness to bring your
