About the Position

Reporting to the Manager of Business Systems, the Lead Business Systems Analyst is responsible for providing system support throughout the registrar\'s seven departments while also being responsible for the leadership and training of the Systems & Scheduling team. The incumbent is responsible for investigating/resolving system issues, overseeing procedure documentation, and staff scheduling. The incumbent must also work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the institution to ensure ongoing projects, policies, and procedure developments conform with the College\'s strategic goals. This position plays a key role in the ability of the institution to define and meet its strategic enrolment goals by supporting the student\'s progress through the enrolment funnel.
Position Details

Working within the Registrar\'s Office, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:

Business Analysis

  • Provide technical support for a multitude of systems used in the Registrar\'s Office (i.e., APAS, MyCreds, Colleague, MyTradeSecrets, CRM Salesforce, Infosilem, Courseleaf, SQL, Business Objects, etc.)
  • Provide Student Information System (Colleague) training to new employees.
  • Analyze business processes, advocate for continuous process improvements, deliver recommendations, implement new processes, and manage process change.
  • Liaise with business owners, Information Technology Services, and stakeholders to identify requirements and issues, produce innovative and effective solutions, and implement supporting systems and processes that align with project and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate testing within the Registrar\'s Office for Colleague system upgrades. Prepare testing strategies and perform validation testing and bug resolution.
  • Develop and maintain supporting documentation including project specifications, process mapping, test plans, and training documentation.
Senior Support
  • Consult with staff to plan, evaluate, and prioritize issues and workload.
  • Expert leadership for the members of the Systems & Scheduling team in developing and establishing appropriate strategies for superior service experience.
  • Responsible for participating in hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
  • Organize time for staff to attend training, complete projects and attend appointments.
  • Provide input for staff performance reviews.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Strong technical analytical skills with an inquisitive and creative mindset.
  • Proven organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment with multiple and completing deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in post-secondary.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
