About the Role:
As a CBRE ES Lead Bldg Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for observing, documenting, and presenting building condition issues to management, facility teams, and sponsors.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do:
Provide guidance/instruction to Building Operators and other classifications/trades.
Monitor work of contractors/external service providers to ensure adherence to company/industry standards. Ensure all equipment are operated in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable government codes and regulations. Ensure maximum energy efficiency, inspect/operate/maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems and equipment (including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, life safety system, etc.). Monitor electrical power distribution system and building automation system and respond to alarms expeditiously and methodically. Inspect, operate, maintain and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, life safety system, etc. Complete preventive maintenance tasks (chemical treatment maintenance, filter changes, belt replacement, lubrications, cleaning of utility rooms, maintenance of fire prevention systems, testing and inspecting equipment). Conduct routine property and site inspections and perform maintenance as required. Work and enforce compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable codes. Participate in review of operating policies/procedures as required. Review and complete daily entries into engineer's log.
What You'll Need:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
5+ years of experience in the operation and maintenance of facilities 4th class Operating Engineering certificate; or provincial trades certification of qualification are an asset
Proven computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook) Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Building Automation System (BAS) Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written) Ability to work in a team environment

The salary being offered for the Lead Building Operator position is $70,000 annually. The compensation provided to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
