Our Client is seeking a seasoned Lead AWS Platform/Data Engineering Lead to drive the design and implementation of scalable data solutions on AWS. This leadership role demands deep technical expertise and strong team management capabilities.
Job Role: Lead AWS Platform/Data Engineering Lead
Job Location: Toronto, ON/Hybrid
Must-Haves:
10-12 years in Big Data, with 5+ years focused on AWS
Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Terraform
Experience with Amazon Neptune DB
Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively
Hands-on experience building data pipelines using AWS native/configurable services
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and optimize data lake solutions using S3, Lake Formation, Glue, and EMR
Build ETL pipelines and event-driven workflows with Spark, EventBridge, SNS, and SQS
Manage metadata and lineage using Amazon Neptune
Implement secure, compliant infrastructure with IAM and Terraform
Enable data discovery and sharing via API Gateway, Lambda, and Angular-based portals
Strengthen entitlement capabilities and simplify data cataloging
