Flex Type Hybrid Preferred, Remote Possible - This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely. A remote opportunity may be possible for qualified candidates under certain circumstances and, if granted, the employee would work remotely on an ongoing basis.

Job Summary:

Walt Disney Animation Studios has an exciting opportunity for Layout Finaling Artists to join the team at our Vancouver, BC studio. A Final Layout Artist is responsible for the integrity of their shot files and for adjusting the file\xe2\x80\x99s camera, sets and props (as needed), before publishing the file for consumption by downstream departments. A Layout Finaling Artist is also responsible for checking continuity prior to delivering to Sweatbox. This is a regular, full time, staff position that will be located at our Vancouver, BC studio. Please note that relocation eligibility may be determined based on role and individual circumstance.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the Layout process
• Must demonstrate the ability to animate and polish camera animation
• Must have and demonstrate strong cinematic training and knowledge
• Must have an understanding of animation and animation pipeline
• Must have solid Maya skills and training (proprietary tools will be taught)
• Linux OS experience is recommended
• Excellent communication skills- written and oral
• Basic understanding of modeling, texturing and lighting
• Ability to track and stay on top of detailed information
• Solid understanding of production priorities
• Ability to problem solve and share solutions
• Willingness to work with others and take direction from show Supervisors
• Experience working with and editing text files is a plus
• Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience
