Law Summer Associate (Mississauga, ON)

Reporting to the Head of Law, Patents and Compliance, the Law Summer Associate will support the LPC Team on a wide variety of matters allowing the individual to understand the role and value of an in-house legal team.

Duration: May 2023 - August 2023

What you will do:

• Support the LPC Team on operational matters such as policy development, administrative tasks, file maintenance, contract management
• Contribute to law projects that will allow you to deep dive into topics and work with the LPC Team and our business colleagues
• Work with various databases and tracking systems including preparing employee communications and training on compliance and law topics
• Support the LPC Team on corporate commercial and litigation matters interacting with in-house counsel, business colleagues and external counsel

Who you are:

• College/University student, preferably law student
• Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint applications
• Strong attention to detail, creative and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Works well independently
