Our client, a well established law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is hiring! They are looking to hire a full time permanent Junior Real Estate Law Clerk (Residential/Commercial/Development) to its team.

Responsibilities include, among others:
Lender-side financings including reviewing the commitment letter, contacting the borrower's counsel for the requested information, ordering preliminary title and off title searches, preparing the security documents, coordinating with borrower's counsel on the execution of documents, setting the closing date, ordering closing searches, and completing closing registration and reporting to client.
Borrower-side financings including reviewing the commitment letter, contacting the borrower for requested information and relaying said information to lender's counsel in a timely manner, ordering preliminary title and off title searches, preparing any ancillary documents, compiling, organizing, and blacklining security documents, coordinating with borrower on the execution of documents, docusigning closing documents, ordering necessary closing searches, and reporting to client.
Conduct mortgage discharge/partial discharge subdivision.
Conduct progress advances.
Handling a variety of purchases and sales files from inception to completion.
Prepare and review deeds, affidavits and agreements of purchase and sale.
Organize and coordinate files and closings.
Conduct title search and registrations of documentation in Teraview and Conveyancer.
o Draft transaction documents, send requisition letters and conduct title searches for residential and commercial purchases and sales.o Experience with Land Titles Applications (LTA) and historical title searching is an asset.
Perform ancillary duties, including administrative tasks, as requested from time to time.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience as real estate law clerk
Law Clerk or equivalent degree/diploma preferred
Proficiency in MSOffice, Teraview and Conveyancer.
Ability to work independently with strong follow up skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills
Ability to multi-task.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and time management skills.
Self-starter, motivated and hardworking.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client service.
