Hiring for a Senior Law Clerk Position, specializing in Estates. This position is Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, in office.

The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team in a friendly and fast-paced office setting. HLPC is committed to providing clients with excellent service and effective representation.

Responsibilities will include:



Draft Wills and Powers of Attorney; Prepare Probate Applications; Draft Court Applications and related documents pertaining to Estates, Powers of Attorneys, and Guardianships; Deal directly with clients, other law firms, and financial institutions in a professional manner; Collecting and verifying client information; Performing general office duties; Provide assistance to lawyers with correspondence, document completion, calendar management, scanning and saving documents, letter and other document preparation and compilation, and other tasks as assigned; Filing materials online with the Courts; Collaborating with other assistants/clerks in the office as required on various projects; Along with other assistants, answering the incoming phone lines; Preparing and sending, or receiving faxes from time to time; Preparing invoices to clients from time to time as requested; and Other related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:



Must be friendly, personable, motivated, and willing to learn; Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat; Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize conflicting deadlines; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English Language; Excellent organization skills; Exceptional attention to detail; Ability to work in Ukrainian, Russian or Polish is an asset; Experience in PCLaw is an Asset; and Successful completion of legal assistant or law clerk course is an asset.
