We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist lawyers with various tasks, including legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Provide clerical assistance to lawyers in various areas of law, including but not limited to Real Estate, Family, Wills & Estates, Corporate Commercial and Civil Litigation.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks
Conduct interviews with clients to gather relevant information
Perform data entry and clerical tasks to support the legal team
Effectively communicate with clients
File documents with courts and other third parties as required
Experience
2 to 5 years experience required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
