Law Bookstore Lead, Full Time Hourly

Here\'s what you\'ll be doing....

As a secondary key holder, you\'ll support the day-to-day operation of the Law Bookstore. Supporting the execution, implementation and ongoing operations of the Law Bookstore floor. Responsible for executing floor displays, visual merchandising, and customer service/selling, and replenishment of the stock on the sales floor. You\'ll be the initial customer point of contact ensuring that all customers receive a consistent and positive shopping experience. eCommerce order fulfillment and transfer of web orders between the Law Bookstore and all other locations are part of the key tasks. Along with supporting the Koffler trade book business as needed. You\'ll you help to develop good relations between the Bookstore and faculty, staff, students, and administration of the Faculty of Law & other nearby colleges.

In this role, you\'ll work up 25-40 hours weekly, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • As a key holder, open/close and operate the store independently
  • Operate a point of sale terminal (POS), processing payments
  • Provide excellent and consistent customer service and communication
  • Ensure the store is fully stocked, well organized and priced with current signage
  • Organize stock transfers and eCommerce order fulfillment; organize customer pick-ups of eCommerce orders at the Law Bookstore
  • Participate in the textbook return process
  • Train and supervise temporary back-to-school employees on daily operations, procedures and policy
  • Work with the trade/text book team at Koffler, including working shifts at the Koffler bookstore as needed
  • Additional related duties as assigned
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • Post-Secondary graduate or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Minimum 1-year retail experience; key holder experience
  • Experience with visual displays/merchandising
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent leadership ability
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, physically demanding environment
  • Move cartons/product weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to handle multiple functions and prioritize in a busy environment
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate well on a team
  • Conscientious, efficient, dependable, energetic with a positive attitude
