Law AssociateMississauga OntarioFull Time- PermanentOn-site: Monday to FridayAbout the role:Our Client is a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm committed to providing high-quality legal services to our clients. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day work of our law firm and will be working with a team of lawyers, paralegals, and administrative staff. This individual will be responsible for handling all aspects of Residential Real Estate transactions with minimal supervision.Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in law or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or is licensed to be licensed to practice law in Ontario.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• The ideal candidate would transition to being a file-carrying Real Estate lawyer, which would include management of files from beginning to end at various stages of purchases, sales, mortgages.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in legal field; or is licensed to practice law in Ontario.
• Drafting of Requisitions, Purchase and Sale documents, Mortgage documents, Teraview instruments/
• Completion of files from inception to completion
• Liaise with clients, counsel, financial institutions, title insurance companies, land registry offices, etc.
• Ability to work effectively with clients and other lawyers.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing, oral, and email.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Software: Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Closer and Teraview essential.
