This position is casual, and up to 12 hours per shift. Shifts may occur weekly or bi-weekly dependent on need. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
Specific Responsibilities:
Attend weekly/biweekly lavage trips for the collection of raw material.
To learn and perform the three positions of the lavage operations (Trachea cutting, trachea tube insertions and trachea tube removal)
To learn and perform the three positions of the loading and unloading equipment operations (Truck load/unloader, hoist operator and equipment retrieval)
To follow and adhere to all safety regulations and instructions from trainers and floor managers.
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working in extreme conditions:
the presence of blood, working in hot and cold temperaturesMust be able to read English at a proficient level.
Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License.
Must be physically fit for heavy lifting, reaching and standing for extended periods of time.
Shifts occur weekly or bi-weekly on Monday and/or Thursday, but subject to change. Shift start time is 4:00am, and may last up to 12 hours.
