Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our facility. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a hotel or laundry setting is preferred.

Duties

Operate washing machines and dryers to clean linens, towels, and other items as required. Sort, fold, and organize laundry items for easy access and distribution. Inspect items for stains or damage before washing and report any issues to management. Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment and work areas to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and machinery. Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low. Provide excellent service by ensuring timely delivery of clean items to designated areas.

Skills

Previous hotel experience is a plus, providing familiarity with the specific needs of hospitality laundry services. Strong knowledge of laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and ironing techniques. Attention to detail with the ability to identify stains or damage on fabrics. Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within tight deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment. Basic cleaning skills with an understanding of proper sanitation practices.
