The position at a glance

The main mission is to support the Performance Management Brazil teams in their day-to-day activities on various Management accounting tasks and on various Key Performance Indicators (focus on overall p&l) for LATAM perimeter. It includes participation and contribution to special projects, reconciliations between Management Accounting and Financial accounting, production of reports, development, maintenance, and controls.

In detail

Managerial:

  • Supervise a team located in Montreal covering Brazil Performance Management and ensure proper coordination and ensure that the team always has the correct level of information and skillset to perform their activities.
  • Ensure that cross training and operational back-up is in place for the most critical tasks.
  • Ensure that the operational procedures are updated and reviewed on yearly basis.
Day to day production and project management:
  • Collect, organize and update financials and non-financials data for monthly reporting.
  • Ensure that all controls are in place and figures are reconciled and consistent .
  • Perform sanity checks on reports published on monthly or quarterly basis, challenge figures and ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy of the data reported
  • Be proactive for the budget preparation by providing the information available to allow the sourcing of the group reporting tools (Paradigm, etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Develop understanding and keep abreast of business evolution and/or products and head office norms or requirements that could influence the reporting
  • Help ensure the control and integrity of data populating the tools and reporting
  • Perform sanity checks and reconciliations between Financial accounting and Management accounting on figures published on monthly or quarterly basis, challenge figures and ensure completeness, consistency and accuracy of the data reported for LATAM Performance Management scope including monthly reporting tasks.
  • Assist and participate in any special project or request as directed by management (systems upgrade, enhancement related to new reporting requirement, etc). In connection with this effort, assist in user acceptance testing and after care post deployment.
Qualifications

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
  • Financial and performance analysis: Degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 5 years of Performance Management, preferably within Financial Services Industries.
  • Excellent Excel skills (including pivot tables and most common excel functions), business Object, macro and complex database.
  • Ability to deliver/Result driven.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with various teams in a deadline-focused environment with experience in project management supervision and team coordination.
  • Autonomous, rigorous and flexible in order to commit the deadline within an international environment.
  • Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the English language is required.
  • Accounting: Knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS is a plus.
Portuguese/Spanish proficiency is a plus.
