We are a full-service Stone CNC fabrication company, delivering custom-fabricated stone solutions for a broad range of applications. Our expertise includes kitchen and vanity countertops, full slab backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, and other bespoke stone projects.

This position is based out of our brand new facility located at 40 Alicia Scott Ave, Mt.Uniacke, Nova Scotia.

Job description

As a crucial team member, the Field Measure Technician is responsible for precise measurement and documentation of dimensions and specifications for stone countertops. Utilizing advanced tools such as the Laser Products 2D/3D, the Measuring Technician creates meticulous templates to better guide programming, project management, fabrication & installation teams.

We offer extensive onsite and offsite training and the use of company vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Template Creation:

Use digital templating systems and CAD software to generate precise templates for stone countertops, aligning with customer specifications.

Equipment Operation:

Proficiently operate measuring tools (2D/3D Laser Templator)

Communication and Coordination:

Collaborate with customers, contractors, and team members for an efficient workflow. Engage with project coordinators, fabricators, schedulers, and installers to address specific requirements and resolve measurement-related issues.

Quality Control:

Verify the accuracy and quality of templates through meticulous review. Address discrepancies or potential issues that could impact fabrication and installation processes.

Site Evaluation:

Conduct on-site evaluations to gather project scope details and assess installation feasibility.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive records, including measurement reports, template specifications, and any modifications. Provide accurate documentation to support project managers, fabrication, and installation teams. Editing of digital documents for shop floor interpretation and machine operation.

Requirements:

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Minimum 1 year experience performing laser templating

. Training can be provided for those with relevant & transferable background Strong communication, note taking & listening abilities. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining efficient, quality work. Collaborative and team-oriented mindset. Experience in operating laser templating equipment is an asset. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean record. Travel to various jobsites
