We are seeking a Laser & Rehab Therapy Assistant to oversee our laser & rehab therapy department and ensure exceptional health service delivery.

Opportunity available in a fast paced, established family chiropractic practice located in Kanata south (Dr. Erin McLaughlin - Hazeldean Family Chiropractic). Position includes an upbeat, energetic work environment, and requires someone with exceptional tech and communication skills.

Approximately 24-27 hours per week with possibility for more hours as department expands. Work week is Monday-Thursday; we are closed Friday-Sunday.

PLEASE NOTE HOURS before applying as we do have 3 split shifts, so if you are local and have your own transportation, they will work well.

Monday 6:30 - 11:00am and 2:30 - 6:30pm

Wednesday 6:30 - 11:00am and 2:30 - 6:30pm

Thursday 6:30 - 11:00am and 2:30pm- 6:30pm

*Vacation: We aim to take off during the school March break, 2 separate weeks over the summer, and the week between Christmas and New Years.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

-Strong employment history (long-term commitment in previous roles)
-Experience in a health clinic, preferably with laser technology or therapy administration
-Knowledge of basic human anatomy and musculoskeletal conditions
-Knowledge/education in exercise therapy/stretching/human spine & posture
-Proficient in data entry, analysis, and spreadsheets (Excel)
-Attention to detail and safety awareness
-Problem-solving abilities and adaptability/willingness to learn
-Professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
-Management of KPIs, inventory, workflow
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Skills in online marketing/social media (creating reels, social media posts, short instructional videos, exercise demonstrations).

ASSETS REQUIRED: high energy, outgoing/confident personality, organizational skills, very strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, quick learner, excellent memory, great work ethic, punctuality and flexibility a must. Personal interest in and commitment to health and fitness. Ability to follow detailed instructions and multi-task in a busy office. Heart for service and compassion/empathy when caring for others. *Post-secondary education in health/fitness/kinesiology or related fields is an asset for this position.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Operate and maintain advanced laser therapy equipment (Theralase), ensuring safe and effective treatments under the supervision of licensed Doctor of Chiropractic (Training and certification on laser technology will be provided).
-Manage appointment flow/running appointments on time, entering treatment records, data analysis for ongoing improvement
-Provide instruction on stretching or posture exercises to patients as prescribed by Chiropractor
-Instruct/oversee whole body vibration platforms use in rehab department
-Oversee inventory and supply ordering for laser and rehab departments.
-Foster a supportive and welcoming environment for patients and other team members
