Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of equipment used in landscape maintenance and construction projects. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively with both power and hand tools. The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Duties

Operate equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and other machinery for landscape maintenance and construction tasks. Build and dig trenches, foundations, and other structures as required by project specifications. Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to ensure optimal performance. Irrigate landscapes effectively, ensuring proper water distribution for plant health. Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards. Follow safety protocols to minimize risks associated with equipment operation.

Experience

Proven experience as an Equipment Operator or in a similar role within the landscaping or construction industry is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices, including planting, irrigation, and garden care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
