Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Maintain city-owned public parks.
• Operate heavy machinery such as tractors and backhoes.
• Work outdoors in all kinds of weather or conditions.
• Cut, shape, and place large slabs of rock to make a walkway or garden space.
• Maintain city-owned flower beds in public parks.
• Lift and transport materials such as mulch, soil, stones, and plants onto the landscape using a wheelbarrow or hand truck.
• Clean up lawns, flower beds, and walkways following the completion of landscaping work.
• Organize work crews and assign tasks to workers.

Job Type: Seasonal Salary: $21.00-$22.00 per hour Benefits:

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Abbotsford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
