Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction, with proven leadership skills. This role is crucial for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality work, and mentoring team members in various gardening and irrigation tasks.

Duties

Supervise and lead a team of workers in landscape maintenance and horticultural projects. Plan and coordinate daily activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines. Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in gardening, irrigation systems, and landscape design. Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations. Manage the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal performance and water conservation. Collaborate with management to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules for landscaping projects. Maintain equipment and tools used in landscaping operations, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Qualifications

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is essential. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required to effectively manage a team. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and their installation/maintenance is preferred. Familiarity with construction processes related to landscaping projects is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively. Pay: $18.50-$30.00 per hour
