Job Description

Cultus Home and Yard is in search of a responsible, dedicated landscaper to join our crew. The role requires someone who is able to work in a physically demanding role outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year. This person must have some prior experience mowing lawns, and a willingness to learn how to operate different equipment and power tools.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Learn how to use new tools / equipment and follow instructions
• Interact professionally and communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and coworkers
• Maintain fitness and be prepared to work outside in all weather
• Maintain an organized and clean work vehicle
• Load and unload landscaping tools into/from work trucks
• Maintain established lawns using a hand, power, push lawn mowers
• Complete yard clean-ups and other softscape projects (trimming, weeding, digging, planting, etc.) using landscaping hand tools and safely operate gas and cordless power tools
• Install pavers, patios, walkways, and other small hardscape projects

Qualifications and Skills

• 18 years or older
• 1-2 years of paid work experience (ideally physically demanding work)
• Ability to operate commercial equipment is an asset
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks at an efficient pace including standing, kneeling, climbing and working from ladders, lifting/moving 30-50 pounds repeatedly outside in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Can work independently and as part of a team environment
• Ability to learn and use workplace scheduling and app

Hours and Location

• Daily meeting location in Lindell Beach, BC
• Full time (Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm)
• Seasonal (March - December)

Compensation

• Hourly wage: Starts at $20-$24, depending on experience, reassessed after probation period
• Annual Bonus: dependent on performance and duration of employment

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
