Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong commitment to maintaining and enhancing landscapes. This is a seasonal position and University students would be ideal candidates as our season ends at the end of October.

This role involves various tasks related to landscape maintenance, including digging, and building garden features. A background in using hand and power tools is beneficial, as well as mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment upkeep.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and weeding to ensure the aesthetic appeal of gardens and lawns. Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and other plants as required. Install patios, walkways and garden walls using inter locking bricks. Build garden features such as retaining walls, pathways, and flower beds. Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (mowers, blowers) safely and efficiently. Assist with the transportation of materials to job sites as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.

Qualifications

Experience in landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Experience driving a zero turn mower is an asset but training is provided for new employees. Ability to dig, maintain, and build various landscape features effectively. Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely. Strong physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions. A positive attitude with a strong work ethic; ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
