Budding Landscapes is hiring: full time or part time for the 2026 season and beyond...

We have a bounty of private gardens which need your care in the Comox Valley! Working as a team, or sometimes alone, weeding, perennial care (dead-heading, staking/tying), pruning, hedge trimming, mulching. Our primary activities are garden related, but 1-2 days of the week involve some lawn mowing/trimming. Our work is a good blend of tasks, so you need to know how to pay attention to detail, prioritize your jobs, and work with your team to keep the gardens looking fresh and fabulous. A love of plants, people and fresh air is a must.

Job requirements:

-

minimum

1 year experience in horticulture-related work

-physical fitness- standing, walking, bending, carrying/pushing heavy loads, climbing ladders, digging

-eagerness to work in all weather (we will likely not work in the most extreme heat or wet)

-power tools use and maintenance (primarily high-power battery tools)

- knowledge of plant id and plant health

-positive attitude and active communication for successful teamwork

-prioritization of safety and well-being for yourself and others around you

-knowledge of irrigation systems is beneficial but not necessary

-full driver's licence and good driving record

Hourly pay range: $26-32

. Pay will reflect your training and experience in horticulture.

After probationary period, a

benefit package

is available towards dental, medical prescriptions, and therapeutic services.
