SCOPE Projects Inc was founded in 1999. Since our inception, SCOPE Projects has taken pride on being a close-knit group that produces high quality landscape construction with safety as part of our core values. Our company specializes in multiple sectors of the landscape industry throughout southern and central Alberta. Our focus is on multi-family, commercial, golf courses, and residential landscape construction. We are currently looking for a Landscape Construction Foreman or Forewoman to join our terrific team.

Candidates with wall construction experience in a landscape setting (Allan block stack walls) are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to lead a crew between 3-5 labourers
• Ability to read landscape drawings and deliver projects on time and budget as outlined by our Operations Manager
• Perform toolbox and hazard assessment meeting daily.
• Ensure all equipment is checked for optimal use and any deficiencies reported to our Safety Officer and Operations Manager for repairs.
• Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Extensive knowledge of landscaping, such as grading, drainage, tree planting, retaining wall construction, etc.
• Adhere to all COR requirements and safety protocols set by SCOPE Projects ..
• Help crews with labourer tasks when a need is required.
• Ability to Lift, Pull and Push 50lbs.

Core Competencies:

• Great communication skills. Have the ability to communicate with crew members, operations manager and other colleagues.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to read construction/landscape plans
• Understanding of equipment, mechanical knowledge is an asset.
• Strong machine operating skills of all types of landscape equipment
• Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to follow directions.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• 2-5 years operating equipment
• Ability to deal with clients and other trades while on site in a professional manner
• Class 5 driver's licence (non-GDL), clean drivers abstract and reliable vehicle.
• First Aid, WHMIS or any other safety training is an asset.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
