Position Overview:
The Landfill Administrative Supervisor will oversee daily operations and administrative functions for multiple landfill sites in the Bessborough, Chetwynd and Fort St. John region. This role is responsible for coordinating contractors, supervising site personnel, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining safety and compliance across three landfill locations. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and experienced in managing people, processes, and paperwork in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations and administrative activities for three landfill sites.
Organize and coordinate contractors, monitor ongoing projects, and ensure work is completed on time and within compliance.
Supervise and support site personnel, ensuring productivity, safety, and adherence to company standards.
Manage staff scheduling, time tracking, and vacation planning.
Prepare and process month-end paperwork, cover summaries, and material reports.
Record daily tonnage and operational numbers for reporting accuracy.
Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and maintaining professional communication through reports and email correspondence.
Manage inventory levels, order and deliver supplies, and maintain accurate records.
Support recruitment efforts by interviewing and onboarding new employees.
Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring all crew members follow E360S safety protocols and practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory or administrative experience in operations, waste management, construction, or a related field.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with data entry and reporting systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
