What does the job look like?Working for an upper tier municipality you would be a vital member of our Planning team, you\'ll take the lead in processing critical planning applications, including plans of subdivision/condominiums, Official Plan Amendments, and Consent (severance) applications within our County. You will collaborate closely with our eight local municipalities, partner agencies, and the public to shape our community\'s future. Your expertise in Provincial legislation, coupled with strong technical acumen and problem-solving abilities, will drive efficient and detail-oriented decision-making, ensuring our County\'s development aligns with regulatory standards and community needs.The Planning Department encourages and supports the County\xe2\x80\x99s corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, teamwork, initiative/self-management, leadership, accountability and flexibility/adaptability.This job is for you if...
  • Education: You have a University Degree from a recognized Planning program or a related field.
  • Experience: You have four (4) or more years of related planning experience. Experience with Municipal planning would be considered an asset.
  • Passionate About Planning: You thrive on contributing to the thoughtful development of communities and enjoy the strategic aspects of planning.
  • Approach Problem-Solving with Logic and Creativity: You excel in analyzing complex issues and finding innovative solutions that balance regulations with practicality.
