Develop and implement survey plans for topographic, cadastral, and engineering purposes
Analyze project requirements and prepare specifications for survey procedures.
Conduct precise measurements of land, airspace, and water boundaries using specialized equipment such as GPS, total stations, and drones.
Establish reference points, benchmarks, and property boundaries.
Record and analyze survey data to create maps, charts, and reports.
Interpret data to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal, engineering, and environmental requirements.
Create detailed maps, drawings, and documents using CAD software and other digital mapping tools.
Prepare 3D models and geographic information system (GIS) data.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, urban planners, and clients to ensure survey results meet project needs.
Provide technical advice and interpret survey data.
Verify and validate survey calculations and results.
Conduct site inspections to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for survey projects.
Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments and equipment.
A Bachelor's degree in Geomatics Engineering or Survey Engineering is required.
A college diploma in Survey Science or Geomatics Technology will also be considered, provided you have completed additional academic coursework and passed the equivalent examinations set by a regional board of examiners for land surveyors.
A minimum of 1 year's related working experience.
A valid federal or provincial land surveyor's licence is required.

Pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour
