We're looking for students from a range of degrees for different areas across our business including:

• Engineering - All degrees
• Sciences - Geoscience, Environmental
• Technology - Data Science, Software, Computing, Robotics

• Social Science and other: Communication, Law, Health & Safety

We're also looking for university students to join our 2023 Winter Internship Program and experience day-to-day-life at Rio Tinto. The best part, it gives you the opportunity to secure a grad position at the end of the program.

What you'll bring:

• At least one year completed in your field of study (bachelor's degree) or currently pursuing your master's degree
• Leadership skills, eagerness to learn and ready for the challenge ahead
• Flexibility and autonomy
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Valid driving license

*To be eligible, you must return to school the semester following the internship period and have the right to work full-time in Canada.

Where will you be working

We are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%. With a team of over 2,400 employees, IOC is committed to providing value and continuity for our customers, employees, communities and shareholders through our unique mine to port approach, taking advantage of our full integration and wholly owned infrastructure to deliver our high-quality concentrate and pellets to our customers across the globe.

IOC's operations include a mine with five operational pits, a concentrator and a pelletizing plant located near Labrador City in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. We also operate a wholly-owned 418 km railway, the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway (QNS&L), that links our Labrador operations to Company-owned port facilities in Sept-Iles.
