Upgraders will be responsible for the upgrade of a 10MW AC solar facility located near Sarnia, ON. The scope of work will include cleaning existing modules and application of anti-reflective coating to increase efficiency. Successful candidates must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs., and tolerant of dusty/loud working conditions. Previous construction experience is considered an asset; however, job-specific training will be provided.Other responsibilities include: Cleaning of existing modules. Applying an anti-reflective coating to increase efficiency. Operating a MoreSun coating applicator and/or cleaning applicator. Cleaning and protecting equipment before end of shift. Completing quality spot checks on panels cleaned to ensure cleaner is operating correctly. Completing quality spot checks on coated panels to ensure applicator is operating correctly. Supporting progress tracking and reporting to Site Foreman. Assisting with equipment repairs and maintenance. Driving UTV and delivering materials or equipment. Assisting with spotting heavy equipment when applicable. Filling Water Buffalos or MultiHog machine. Filling and deploying MoreSun and SDA pouches. Supporting QA/QC duties (reflectometer and temperature readings). Building brush heads.Our Ideal Candidate Want to contribute to greener planet? Be part of the team to upgrade Sarnia Solar. Previous machine operating experience is an asset. Basic solar-field/solar-module knowledge is an asset. A valid driver's license may be required.
