NOVA Chemicals\xe2\x80\x99 Joffre manufacturing facility lies just east of Red Deer, Alberta and is one the largest ethylene and polyethylene production complexes in the world. The site consists of five manufacturing facilities: three for ethylene production and two for polyethylene production.
Joffre\xe2\x80\x99s first ethylene plant started production in 1979 and was the first manufacturing facility built by NOVA Chemicals. A second ethylene plant and a polyethylene plant began production in 1984. In the year 2000, NOVA Chemicals started up a third ethylene plant, as part of a joint venture with DOW Chemical, that nearly doubled Joffre\xe2\x80\x99s ethylene production, taking it to 4.8 billion pounds (2165 kilotons) annually.
Jardeg Construction is currently seeking local labourers to join the team supporting NOVA at Joffre, AB for turnaround. These are Full Time Temporary positions on 4/3 (pre-work) and 6/1 (turnaround) rotation with 10 hours a day. Tentative start date will be in May.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Loading, unloading, waste material from tanks.
• Spotting for heavy equipment (Guiding movement in and around work areas)
• Cleaning of company and client vehicles and/or equipment
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
• Ensure that all training is kept current.
• Understand and utilize the right and responsibility to stop unsafe work.

Minimum Requirements:

• 
  Minimum 2 years of turnaround experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license is required.
• ESC Fall Protection.
• ESC Confined Space.
