Job Summary

We are actively seeking a Labourer to join our team as we continue our work while maintaining the highest standard of animal welfare in mind.

You will be part of the team that ensures strict sanitation standards amongst a variety of laboratory equipment, animal enclosures, and animal enrichment items to maintain laboratory standards. Handling of washing equipment and maneuvering items to designated cleaning areas are performed routinely. You will play a key role in guaranteeing animal safety by providing a clean and health environment!

This position comes with an hourly premium as per company regulations.

General Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Operate, maintain and validate industrial washing machines, "Car Wash" type, to clean, disinfect and handle cages;

\xc2\xb7 Perform daily and monthly checks of the cage wash systems;

\xc2\xb7 Must be ready and able to also clean manually when necessary;

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent;
Training will be provided!
Ability to reliably commute to location during evening hours after training period, punctuality is a must.
Must have good attention to detail, multitasking abilities, a high sense of responsibility and a positive attitude!
Good communication skills in either French or English;
Must be able to push, pull, carry weight up-to/around 20kg (44 lbs).
6 months experience in a similar role.
