Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Labourer - Water Clarification to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the site's water clarification systems. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical aptitude, strong situational awareness, and the ability to work independently--day or night--in an active mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor water clarification systems to ensure optimal performance and environmental compliance Use hand tools to perform minor maintenance and make system adjustments as needed React quickly to alarms or changing conditions in the system Conduct regular water sampling and testing; record and report data accurately Work independently during both day and night shifts while maintaining communication with site personnel Communicate effectively using two-way radio in a busy site environment Drive a pickup truck safely within active mining areas, including red zone driving protocols Work around large mobile equipment (e.g., haul trucks, dozers) while maintaining high situational awareness Follow all site safety, environmental, and operational procedures
Position Requirements

Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust equipment Strong ability to work independently and make sound decisions in dynamic conditions Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts Prior experience in water treatment or industrial systems is an asset Comfortable using hand tools and working outdoors in all weather Ability to drive in red zones and follow all site traffic rules (training provided) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Must be able to pass pre-employment screening Ability to work outside in changing weather conditions over a 12 hour shift Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test Must hold a valid BC driver licence with reliable to transport to meet in Prince George/Vanderhooof
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $27.50 per hour
