Telecommunications - Labourer (House Drop Installations)

About the Role

Be part of the team bringing Telus fibre and communications services straight to people's homes! As a Labourer, you'll support house drop installations from the street to residential properties--helping dig conduit, pull cables, restore walkways, and prepare sites for final connections.

This position is working under a crew lead or foreman to ensure safe, efficient completion of drop installations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in trenching and conduit placement (shallow utility work) Expose and prepare drop conduit, rod/rope conduits for cable pulling Pull fibre or copper cable from street to house Backfill trenches and restore lawns, sidewalks, driveways Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow all safety protocols (e.g. flagging, steel-toe boots, PPE) Assist foreperson with general site preparation and cleanup

Qualifications & Requirements

Physically fit: capable of digging, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing in and out of trenches Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work full days, including possible overtime and occasional weekend shifts Indeed Previous construction or communications utility experience is an asset
