As a

Labourer Supervisor at CIMS LP, you will be a key contributor towards CIMS success by overseeing and coordinating daily activities of unionized labourer crews and acting as a key liaison between workers, management, and union representatives while embodying CIMS corporate values of

You will report to the CIMS Site Senior Representative and be accountable for:

Supervising, directing, and coordinating daily activities of labourer crews in compliance with union regulations and site-specific requirements. Leading by example in promoting a safety-first culture. Ensure all work is performed in strict adherence to safety protocols, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies. Maintaining positive working relationships with the client, CIMS operations team, Local 1611 members and union representatives.

A successful candidate would be an individual who has:

A minimum of 5+ years of labour experience in heavy industrial, construction environment. 2+ years of supervisory experience overseeing unionized crews. Familiarity with labour certification requirements such as fire watch, confined space entry and traffic control. A self-starting, team player attitude and is willing to work collaboratively towards achieving the strategic goals of the company. A demonstrated ability to estimate site needs and plan a work schedule including resource requirements.

Working conditions you can expect while performing your role:

Will be required to work outside in varying weather conditions. Will be required to work in a portable trailer on client sites with adequate lighting and temperature. Working in operating plant facilities, including pulp mills, refineries, and smelters. Working in high-stress situations (i.e. investigations, and meeting deadlines).
