Position Summary

As a Labourer, you will monitor projects, maintain equipment cleanliness, and perform industrial cleaning of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. You'll assist with vacuum trucks, conduct confined space entry, work in tight spaces, and operate machinery like pick-up trucks and forklifts.

Position Responsibilities

Monitor assigned projects on a day-to-day basis. Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and the overall shop. Perform power washing and industrial cleaning of both hazardous and non-hazardous chemical wastes. Assist with vacuum trucks and plant operations as needed. Conduct confined space entry and rescue for environmental services projects. Work in tight or cramped spaces. Perform tasks such as shoveling, jack hammering, squeegeeing, scraping, and heavy lifting. Operate various machinery including pick-up trucks, utility trailers, forklifts and more. Offload trucks and ensure efficient material handling. Assist in various yard duties to maintain a clean and safe environment. Support tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Ensure that all materials generated at customer locations comply with Provincial, Federal, and customer waste management regulations.

Position Qualifications & Specifications

1+ year general labourer experience is an asset. Experience in industrial settings, confined space entry, and working at heights. Experience with vacuum trucks, power-washing, and liquid waste industry. Certification for lift truck, scissor lift, or zoom boom is an asset. Valid Class G license: AZ/DZ license is an asset. Physically capable of performing demanding tasks. Strong work ethic and ability to work in various conditions. Commitment to safety and ability to follow health and safety protocols.
