Job Description

Sheehy Enterprises is an agricultural dealership that provides services to the Atlantic provinces of Canada. We are currently looking for a labourer who is hard-working, dedicated, and enjoys technical and construction work in an agricultural setting. This position's primary role will be assisting equipment technicians in the installation and maintenance of manure equipment, stabling, cow comfort products, ventilation, custom fabrication and more. Below is a list of what we are looking for:

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with installation, maintenance and repairs of dairy farm equipment (manure equipment, ventilation, stabling, etc.) Construction work including standing structures, steel roofs, rough carpentry, etc. Assist welders with equipment and components for proper installation and custom fabrication Co-operate with co-workers to ensure all aspects of the job are covered Operate forklift/telehandler and aerial lift equipment on occasion Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship and image with our customers Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury
Work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions

Requirements:

Experience in some or all the following is an asset: carpentry, welding, plumbing, etc. Dairy industry experience would be an asset Ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong communication skills to clearly communicate with coworkers regarding the work being done Ability to perform physical tasks that may require climbing, lifting, pushing, etc. Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada Must maintain a valid driver's license Compensation commensurate with experience.
Additional Details:

No tools are required, they are all supplied. The position(s) are full-time, 40+ hours per week. You will need to be able to provide your own transportation to our shop, however, any travelling for work is done via a work truck. Benefits kick in following a work probation period.
