General Accountability:



The Labourer is a semi-skilled employee with some technical training in a related field. The Labourer will be required to perform a wide variety of duties and tasks associated with position descriptions of equal or lesser responsibilities, as assigned by the supervisor.

The employee in this position must be able to communicate clearly and concisely and actively contribute to achieving team results. The incumbent must provide exceptional service to customers and internal partners and demonstrate initiative toward achieving organizational results and performance excellence.

Duties:



Locating various bins around town that have been displaced. Replacing lost bins to new residents. Will be capable in operating a variety of light and medium duty vehicles and equipment associated with the various activities within the Municipal Operations department. Capable of performing basic maintenance on equipment and vehicles applicable to this position. Ability to follow maintenance programs, procedures and schedules set by the Town Will ensure that assigned duties, written or verbal, are carried out efficiently and safety. May be required to work shift work and/or weekends. Work must be performed in all weather conditions. Any tasks as assigned. Perform maintenance on town infrastructure.

Qualifications:



Ability to operate light and medium duty vehicles and equipment Knowledge of Utilities, Public Works maintenance, or waste and recycling Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions Be able to work independently or within a team Physical strength and agility sufficient to perform the work of this position Must possess a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License Standard First Aid with CPR Level C Completed Grade 10

This is a temporary position until March 2026
