The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for a full-time

Labourer II. The successful candidate will beresponsible for operating a variety of equipment to facilitate the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and rights-of-way within the M.D.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate roller and compactor to smooth and patch road surfaces. Operate other equipment, such as skid steer, loader, packer, etc. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Keep vehicles and equipment clean and in safe operating order. Follow all procedures for safe and efficient operation of equipment. Prepare equipment, work code, timecards, and pre-trip equipment inspection forms, including the posting of equipment hours, fuel, oil etc. Perform traffic control and flagging during road construction and maintenance. Collect traffic related data. Assess roadway conditions, reporting results to direct report. On call rotation and night shifts may be required. Perform all essential functions of manual labour and other related duties within the scope of the position.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferable. Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license in good standing. Demonstrate interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision. Must possess some basic mechanical skills. Must provide a Criminal Record Check with satisfactory results.
