FULL-TIME LABOURER

POSITION OVERVIEW:

To perform manual labour duties and ensure the quality of work is performed and maintained to the standards established by Management.

Ensuring tenant's satisfaction with the property.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Removes snow, ice and debris from building entrances, walkways, applying salt and when required

Completes seasonal grounds clean up including but not limited to the removal of leaves, cigarette butts, garbage, animal waste etc.

Patrols exterior grounds, building corridors, emergency exits and stairwells, removing garbage and debris to ensure the area is safe and clean

Assist with cleaning and changing heating coils, valves, filters and belts

Assist with the cleaning and repairing ducting and vents

Clean grounds, repair minor damage to sod and fencing

Assist Maintenance Labourers in construction, repair and maintenance projects where required including but not limited to collecting supplies, providing tools and cleaning work areas

Inform Property Administrator of any tenant rental violations

Assist with the posting of all notices

Performs daily security checks to ensure all vacant units are locked and fire doors remain closed

Responsible for keeping work area organized and safe

Completes documentation and paperwork on all work-related items

Complete any required training

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

One (1) year related labourer experience is required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to provide a clean criminal record check
Medically and physically fit to perform all responsibilities and activities of the job

Must have strong problem-solving skills

Must have superior customer service skills

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Valid Class 5 Driver's license and abstract acceptable to Employer.
Ability to work holidays, evening/night shift and weekends

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be willing to work outdoors in all conditions

Must be able to deal effectively with unruly or unhappy tenants.

SALARY:

$28.76 per hour

Cost of Living Allowance of $480 bi-weekly included in rate of pay and is based on full-time hours worked.
