Position(s): Labourer
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday
Location: Yorkton, Saskatchewan & surrounding areas (Wynyard, Sturgis)
Forbes Bros Ltd. Forbes Bros Ltd. is looking for Laborers (full-time, permanent) to join our team supporting our projects based out of Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The Labourer will be responsible for assisting other crew members in day-to-day tasks inclusive of but not limited to operating small equipment and tools to complete tasks, carrying and moving materials as needed and other additional tasks and duties as assigned. The labourer will adhere to all applicable safety protocols and procedures during all operations and assist crews members with routine tasks when driving activity is not scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Emulates Forbes Bros core value of 'WE WORK SAFE' in all daily tasks
• Digging and back-filling trenches
• Pulling and placing underground and overhead cables
• Carrying and moving materials as needed
• Operating small equipment and hand tools
• Spotting for vehicles and equipment
• Site setup and cleanup, ensuring trash, debris and other potentially dangerous materials from the construction site are removed
• Assisting craft/crew members with work as directed
• Following instruction and adhering to safe work practices
• Development of skills on varied and challenging tasks
• Assisting with additional operational tasks, as required

What We Are Looking For:

• Class 1A license, is required
• General knowledge of the principals involved in the operation of construction, maintenance methods and procedures is required
• Able and willing to work at various heights and climb various structures and perform manual labour in varying weather conditions and environments inclusive of heavy lifting
• Able and willing to accommodate frequent overtime hours and weekend hours when required
• Able and willing to provide an acceptable five (5) year Driver's Abstract
