We're currently hiring

Labourers

to join our team for a civil construction project in

Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

This is a hands-on role that requires previous experience in construction and a strong work ethic. Successful candidates will assist in all phases of site development, supporting equipment operators, pipe crews, and site supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general labour support throughout the job site during all stages of construction. Assist equipment operators, pipelayers, and site supervisors with daily tasks. Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment manually or using light machinery. Operate small tools and equipment such as tampers, compactors, pneumatic hammers, and skid steers (if qualified). Set up and dismantle traffic control signage and assist with onsite traffic management. Prepare and clean job sites by removing debris, digging, and organizing materials. Support trench excavation, backfilling, and other groundworks. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times. Tend pumps, compressors, and other support equipment as needed. Follow all health and safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Key Qualifications:

Previous experience as a

labourer in civil construction

is required. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and remote site conditions. Physically fit, able to lift heavy materials, and perform repetitive tasks. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong team player who can also take initiative when working independently. Proven commitment to safety and a willingness to follow all safety protocols. Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and in remote project locations. Ability to use a smartphone app for time tracking and communication.

Compensation & Schedule

Wage: $32.00-$38.00 per hour (based on experience) Shifts: Approx. 21 days on / 7 days off, scheduled to include long weekends where possible Minimum 8 hours pay per workday, even in case of site delays or shutdowns Work commences immediately Accommodations provided $100/day meal allowance $10/hour completion bonus, paid out at end of project term (conditions apply) Flights covered
