Can-Traffic Labourers support the installation, maintenance, and repair of street lights, traffic signals, pedestrian crossovers, signage, flashing beacons, and other traffic control devices.

The Laboureris a skilled position responsible for performing a wide range of physically demanding tasks with increased independence and responsibility. Duties include operating light machinery, assisting with equipment maintenance, and leading worksite activities when required.

Candidates should have experience or exposure to the construction industry, demonstrate reliability, and be able to work in a physically demanding environment. Periodic out-of-town and night shift assignments are required.

What you will do Everyday

Independently perform a variety of job site tasks including concrete/asphalt removal, manual excavation, installation of in-road sensor equipment, and sealant application. Operate small machinery and equipment such as skid steers, loaders, augers, and pull trailers. Perform rigging duties for lifts and other equipment support tasks. Conduct pre- and post-use equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Assist in the coordination of job site logistics and daily work planning. Support pre and post-trip inspections and complete safety-related documentation. Ensure safety procedures and protocols are strictly followed by self and others. Provide mentorship and support to Labourer team members as directed.

Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to lead by example and promote a safe working environment Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable with physical labour and long hours in outdoor or inclement conditions. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications Needed

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of related experience in construction or a similar field. Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Pay: $20.84-$24.15 per hour
