Westhills Care Centre is a BRAND NEW distinctive Long-Term Care Facility dedicated to providing a variety of clinical and personal programs and services to our 160 residents. Summary

We are seeking a Labor Relations Specialist to join our team at Westhills Care Centre in Niagara Region. This role is crucial in fostering positive employee relations and ensuring compliance with labor laws while supporting our commitment to individualized care for our residents.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective labor relations strategies that align with the organization's mission. Facilitate communication between management and employees to address concerns and resolve conflicts. Conduct negotiations with employee representatives regarding contracts and agreements. Provide guidance on labor laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance. Support talent acquisition efforts by collaborating with home management. Analyze employee feedback and data to improve workplace culture. Organize training sessions focused on labor relations topics for staff development. Monitor industry trends related to labor relations and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Proven experience in labor relations or human resources management. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with labor laws and regulations in Canada. Ability to manage change effectively within an organization. Knowledge of employee training & development practices.
