The Construction division of Northland Properties Corporation Is looking for a Labour Foreperson (Foreman or Forewoman) with Rough Terrain Forklift experience

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Running crews daily, working alongside and mentoring the Apprentices and Journeymen
  • Work directly with the Project managers, Supervisors and other trades to ensure the project runs smoothly
  • Understand and interpret blueprints drawings
  • Accurately plan and organize work
  • Prepare production and other reports
  • Work with the procurement/inventory team to order materials for your job site
  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Coordinate and schedule activities
  • Train or arrange for training
  • Set up equipment
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules
  • Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
What Will Make You Successful in this Role:

Minimum of 5 years experience leading a crew * Rough Terrain Forklift experience

Schedule, organize, and supervise crews.

Ensure quality and safety requirements are met.

Accountable for meeting the operating budget.

Coach, train, and assist crews with completing work.

Coordinate equipment/machinery requirements.

Work with the procurement/inventory team to order materials for your job site.

Ability to work as a team and independently, with proven leadership skills.

Organized and skilled in planning with an open-minded and positive attitude * Perform other work-related tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day working in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms
  • Must be able to climb scaffoldings.
