Overview:



We are seeking a proactive and highly organized

Labour Manager

to lead and oversee the daily operations of our labour team. This role involves full responsibility for scheduling, managing personnel, coordinating equipment, and ensuring all job site needs are met with efficiency and professionalism. The Labour Manager will be the central point of contact between site supervisors and the labour force, driving performance and maintaining high standards across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:1. Scheduling & Coordination



Build and manage the

weekly job schedule

in direct collaboration with site supervisors. Coordinate and assign the

labour team schedule

, ensuring effective daily deployment. Handle

day-to-day schedule adjustments

, urgent job allocation, and last-minute changes.

Ensure all jobs are completed correctly and efficiently

, in line with project requirements and timelines.

2. Team Management & Training



Foster a

productive, engaging, and positive work environment

. Set and communicate clear

performance standards and expectations

across the team. Train and develop team members to ensure all tasks are completed

correctly, efficiently, and safely

.

Manage team performance, time, and resources effectively

to maximize productivity. Ensure the team

follows all internal processes

, including timely completion of

job reports and site reports

.

3. Equipment Oversight



Manage the

distribution and organization of equipment

, ensuring each team has the necessary tools to complete their assigned jobs. Monitor equipment needs and usage across sites to avoid downtime and delays.

4. Full Department Oversight



Take full ownership of the

labour department

, including workforce planning, job execution, performance monitoring, and continuous process improvement. Lead the team with a focus on

quality, efficiency, accountability, and consistency

.

Qualifications:



Proven experience in a construction or site management role (labour management preferred). Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and site needs. Working knowledge of construction equipment and job site logistics.
Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
