Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up, receiving and transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to designated locations. Responsible for the accessibility and safety of donation bins. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the products being transported.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to various locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.
• Must be able to drive with an enclosed trailer
• Must provide clean driver's abstract upon hiring

Skills

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
• Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and ensuring safe transportation of goods.
• Previous experience as a driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5 years driving experience
• Must be over 21 years of age
• Must be able to drive with an enclosed trailer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
